Reflections

St. Francis Bonsai is a well known catalyst for spiritual and philosophical musings and we welcome essays that reflect these dimensions to the art of bonsai. There is a growing body of bonsai inspired literature, ranging in style from poetry to essays and full length books. As a highly developed art form bonsai can give rise to many a spiritual or philosophical thought. The little trees can bring forth great thought from those who care for them. Caring for living things is conducive to settling one's mind and heart - and with bonsai this is especially true. The bonsai rhythm and blend of time, care, slow but sure growth and beauty evoke from us rare depths of thought. The little trees teach much about life - including something about writing. As time goes by, we hope to offer a generous selection of writing as it appears on our page. Reading the contributions of others may help stir your own creative spirit. It is our hope that be you a reader or writer or both, you will derive much pleasure from these pages.
