Subsequently, we published a mail order catalog, and now the e-store, offering the largest selection of bonsai pottery in the USA. We feature supplies to meet the needs of both bonsai beginners and bonsai masters. The name "Tokoname" is synonymous for "high quality" in the bonsai community. These hand-built pots are some of the finest to be had in the world. With over 100 sets we have the largest selection in stock in the USA. Our new online catalog makes it possible to be continually expanding and changing this great line of bonsai containers. Houtoku Pottery is the "bread and butter" manufacturer of bonsai pottery sold in the USA. These high-quality Japanese containers have been the mainstay for enthusiasts wanting traditional high-fired pottery. There is certainly something for everyone in our line of over 400 pots! Mica pots from Korea are made of mica, polyethylene and graphite. Mica has a natural ability to stabilize the temperature of the soil in the pots. These pots are durable and will withstand the elements for years. They also have the advantage of affordability. We carry both Ryukoh and Yagimitsu tools from Japan. Our tools range from the highest quality carbon steel to stainless to mid-grade carbon steel plus a few beginner's tools. Copper-colored aluminum wire is stocked in ten sizes and three different size coils. To round out our accessories, we carry plastic humidity trays, books, videos and fertilizers. The Monastery Greenhouse mixes bonsai soil for it's own potting needs and for resale. We also distribute Terra Green, a high-fired clay product used in our soil mix, made by the OilDri Corporation.
