Will my email address be sold to a mailing list?
No, we do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We respect your privacy.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Our server is secure and all of your personal data is encrypted. For more information about our secure server, please view our Security and Privacy page.
Ordering Questions
Do you have a minimum order amount?
Yes, $25.00 is our minimum order amount.
Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover/Novus cards.

How can I get a copy of your mail order catalog?
Call 800.778.POTS(7687), locally: 770.388.0531, fax 770-760-0989, email us bonsaimonk@bonsaimonk.com or use the request form to get a catalog of bonsai pottery, tools and accessories. Our greenhouse does not have a catalog of trees.
I'm afraid to use my credit card on the Internet, how can I order from you?
You can call in your entire order at 800.778.POTS(7687), locally: 770.388.0531, or print our order form and either fax or postal mail it to us.
Can I order trees from the Greenhouse?
No, we do not ship trees. To purchase a tree, you must come to the Monastery Greenhouse.
I have an old price list, are those prices still valid?
Prices in our E-Catalog supersede all others previously published by us.
Discounts were given in the past, do I still qualify for them?
Our previously published discount plans have been discontinued. Our packing and handling charge has also been eliminated (actual shipping is charged). This simplifies our order processing and allows us to serve you better.
The right side of my invoice was chopped off when I printed it. How can I fix that?
This probably means the print margins are set to large in your browser. Pull down the File menu and choose Page Setup. Set all the margins to 0.25 and try printing again.
Shipping Questions
How much will shipping and handling cost for my order?
Our shipping costs vary due to the nature of our products. Please see our Customer Service page for details
What carrier do you use to ship products?
We use UPS (United Parcel Service).
Can you ship my order overnight?
Yes, we can ship via UPS air delivery at extra cost.
I live outside of the United States, can you ship an order to me?
Items can be shipped to most countries, however Shipping and Handing costs will vary. We will calculate these costs when we receive your order and notify you by e-mail for approval of the final cost before shipping your order. For more information about shipping costs, please see our Customer Service page.
Do you ship soil?
We ship soil and other soil products. Visit our e-store for descriptions and Soil Shipping for more information.


Returns Questions
What is your return policy?
Except for books and videos, if you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return or exchange items for their purchase price within 15 days of receipt. Please see our Customer Service page for details on making a return.
If I don't like the color of my bonsai pot what should I do?
If you are not satisfied with your purchase (no returns on books and videos) you may return it within 15 days in good condition for exchange or refund. See our Customer Service page. We cannot guarantee the color of pots, due to variation in glazes and differences in computer monitors.
What should I do if my pottery arrives broken?
Call the carrier and us immediately. For more details see our Damage Claims policy.
Newsletters
Does Bonsai By The Monastery publish a newsletter?
Yes, on an occasional basis. If you have given us your mailing address, you will receive any newsletter we publish. (Your address is only used for our mailings, we never give it to anyone else.)
Does the Monastery or Abbey Store publish a newsletter?
Both have direct mailings, which are not sent to Bonsaimonk.com's mailing list. To be included in either one, contact the Monastery at info@trappist.net or the Abbey Store at abbeystore@abbeystore.org.
Greenhouse Questions
Do you ship bonsai trees?
No, we sell finished bonsai and nursery stock in our retail greenhouse, but we do not ship any trees at this time.
Do you have a catalog of the trees in your greenhouse?
No, we sell finished bonsai and nursery stock in our retail greenhouse and the selection changes daily.
Can I visit the Monastery Greenhouse?
Yes! Our retail store is open Tue-Fri, 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm, Sat, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm Eastern time. For more information visit us at The Greenhouse.
Can you help me with my bonsai tree?
We don't provide tree consulting via email. Contact our Greenhouse regarding their services..

What time are services held at the Monastery Chapel?
Prayer times are held throughout the day at the Chapel. Please visit the Monastery's homepage for a schedule: www.trappist.net

How can I get catalogs from the Abbey Store?

No, sorry, we can't take Abbey Store orders. However, you can visit the Abbey Store's website: www.abbeystore.org and contact them directly about placing an order.
Prayer Requests
How do I submit a prayer request?
To submit a prayer request, send email to: prayer@trappist.net. Your prayer requests will be placed in the Monastery's prayer box. These prayer intentions are prayed for by the community each day.
